HQ and accommodation:

This event will be based in Ellesmere, which lies at the heart of the North Shropshire Lakelands. The town has excellent amenities including several tea/coffee shops, pubs, shops and Indian and Chinese Restaurants. Accommodation will be at the Red Lion Coaching Inn which is a 5 minute walk from the town centre, or the delightful Hordley Hall which is locared a short drive away from Ellesmere. The Red Lion has an extensive lunchtime and evening menu, a beer garden and a pool room.

Directions:

Day 1 Tuesday 18th August v Ellesmere (13.30)

From the Red Lion turn left and then left again at the petrol station. Follow the signs for Tetchill/ Ellesmere College, passing the Indian Restaurant on the right. The cricket ground is on the right opposite the marina.

Day 2 Wednesday 19th August v Frankton (13.30)

From the Red Lion turn left and follow the A495 toward Oswestry. The cricket ground in on the right, through a large gateway.

Day 3 Thursday 20th August v Knockin and Kinnerly (13.30)

From the Red Lion turn right and follow the A528 for Shrewsbury. At Burton, turn right (B3497) for Ruyton XI Towns. Continue on the B3497 and cross over the A5. In Knockin turn left just after the “Knockin Shop”. The cricket ground is on the right, just before a dog leg bend.

To Ellesmere

Take the Runcorn Bridge and then M56 (west) to junction 15. Then follow the M53/ A55 for North Wales until the A483 turn off. Follow the A483 for Wrexham/ Oswestry until A495 (left turn) for Ellesmere. In Ellesmere take 3

o’clock exit at the traffic island. The Red Lion Coaching Inn is on the right (Postcode SY12 0HD). Parking is to the rear via the archway.

To Hordley Hall

From the Red Lion turn left and left again at the petrol station. At the next junction go straight ahead, keeping the Indian Restaurant on your right following the signs for Tetchill/ Ellesmere College. Pass the marina and Ellesmere College. Hordley Hall is on the left up a long drive.
